Methodist School Dankuni has organized Inter-House Just A Minute (JAM) Competition for Classes 3 to 5 which was held with great enthusiasm and excitement as students from all houses gathered to showcase their confidence, spontaneity, and speaking skills.
The programme commenced with an opening prayer, inviting God’s presence and guidance for a successful event. This was followed by a Bible reading, which set a tone of wisdom and inspiration for the participants and audience alike.
After the Scripture reading, the participants were warmly welcomed and the rules of the competition were briefly explained. Representatives from each house then took turns speaking on various objects that they picked striving to speak fluently for one full minute without hesitation, repetition, or deviation—the core challenge of the JAM format.
The participants displayed remarkable courage, clarity of thought, and presence of mind. Their performances kept the audience engaged and often impressed the judges with creativity and confidence. Our judge, Mrs R. Gupta carefully evaluated each speaker and provided constructive feedback at the end.
The event concluded with the announcement of the winners, applause for all participants, and words of encouragement to continue building strong communication skills. It was truly a memorable and enriching experience that strengthened healthy competition and unity among the houses.
